Meet Matt
Matt has more than a dozen years of recruitment experience. After learning the business at one of the largest global recruiting firms, he joined a national top 10 mortgage lender as their Head of Talent Acquisition in 2017. Over those 4 years the company grew from 1,200 to more than 4,000 employees, expanding operations from coast to coast.

He rejoined the recruitment agency space in 2020 and during the next 3 years he helped grow the firm to one of the 50 fastest growing private companies in Charlotte, NC. In 2024, Vertical Life Search, LLC. was born and is aimed at creating a refreshing and highly personal recruitment offering for companies looking for elite talent. Matt believes in keeping people at the center of the search process and never compromising that for a fee. Never.
In addition to Vertical Life Search, Matt serves on the board of myCharity, a tech non-profit committed to bettering the way people give philanthropically. Matt also leads a growing coaching practice as part of the Vertical Life Co. family, Vertical Life Coaching, LLC. Just as Vertical Life Search helps companies find talent, his coaching practice aims at helping people maximize their talent.
Matt currently resides in the Virginia mountains with his wife, Kelly on a working cattle ranch and lodge. Some of his favorite hobbies include strength training, cycling, swimming, fly fishing, hiking, reading and traveling.
